Paws4Travels is a UK booking site for council-licensed boarding kennels and catteries. We list every licensed business we can find on the councils' public registers, with official star ratings, so pet owners can compare them and book online. That gives us a clear picture of boarding across the country, and we're happy to share it.

Data and methods
Our figures come from councils' public registers of licensed animal-boarding businesses, and are recalculated live from our listings. Star ratings (1 to 5) are given by councils in England after inspection; Scotland and Wales license boarding but don't use stars. See star ratings by county, the UK totals and how the ratings work.
